Optional course statistics
With your permission, MYE can count future course starts and completions to understand how the program is used. These messages contain the week and event type, not your answers, name or email. Hosting services still receive technical request information.

What the website saves
A cookie is a small value a browser can send to a website with a request. Our course mainly uses localStorage instead: information saved on this device that stays here unless a feature sends it. Course answers stay in your browser.
- Course work and progress: your answers, chosen track and milestones. These let you return to a lesson. They remain until you or your browser clears them.
- Browser features: language, sound and the homepage’s exploration progress. These are stored on your device and remain until cleared.
- Your privacy choice: whether you allow optional course statistics and when you chose. Permission expires after 180 days; the stored entry can remain until replaced or cleared.
- Administrator sign-in: the restricted administrator area uses an authentication cookie configured to last up to 30 days. Ordinary visitors do not need this cookie.
Optional statistics are off until you allow them
If allowed, future course starts and completions are sent to MYE’s server and added to aggregate counts stored with Upstash. The messages include the event, week and permission flag. They do not include your name, email, answers or a visitor ID. Ordinary server requests can still create technical logs, including IP addresses.
Turning statistics off stops future optional event requests from this browser. We do not send earlier saved progress when you turn statistics on. We cannot identify your contribution within a previously combined total.
No choice, an expired choice or unreadable browser storage means statistics stay off. This setting does not control your email submissions or ordinary hosting logs.
Other websites and services
This site does not currently use advertising pixels or embedded third-party video players on its active pages. Homepage videos and fonts are served by our website. If you follow a donation or external tool link, that separate website has its own cookies and privacy choices.
HCB handles donations on its website. Form messages use our hosting and email providers as described in the privacy notice.
Managing saved information
Use your browser’s site-data settings to inspect or clear this website’s stored information. Clearing it will also remove saved course answers and progress, so save anything you need first. It does not delete applications or messages already sent to MYE.
